Sadly, stories about fake service animals is becoming more common place. With service animal vests easily available some people think it’s no big deal to represent their lovable pets as trained service animals. However, many people don’t realize how detrimental this can be to those who truly need a service animal companion.
When someone brings a fake service animal into a store or business that regular pets are not allowed they put true service animals and the people they assist in danger.
Service dog are highly trained. They help with so many tasks and part of their obedience training involves ignoring other dogs. I think one of the stories that moved me to create this satire sketch was a story about a service animal that was attacked by a fake service animal in a business.
